Test rider for a day

Franco Mollo’s MTR team has been the KTM benchmark squad in the S1GP world championship for several years already, and has previously welcomed special guest riders such as Dani Pedrosa. During these first days of 2024, the team that has battled for the S1GP title with Lukas Hollbacher in recent years was in Spain for its first tests of the season with a special test rider in the shape of Pedro Acosta. The Moto2 world champion took to the Fortuna track alongside the already confirmed young Spaniard Julien Avila Cortez, who will compete with team MTR in 2024. “El Tiburon” was on track for a day of winter training aboard the Italian team’s KTM SMR 450. Having announced over Christmas that he will no longer have MT Helmets as a technical partner - the brand that saved his career and allowed him to race in the JuniorGP - the Spaniard was on track with the new Alpinestars R10 helmet.
