Fourteen races will make up next year’s electric series. Let’s look at the circuits set to host the rounds.
Considering the Covid-19 pandemic, it is still only a provisional calendar, but Dorna has published the list of events making up the 2022 MotoE World Cup. For the first time, each round will comprise two races, meaning that riders in the electric class will compete in 14 races. The action will get underway on 30 April and 1 May at Jerez in Spain, followed a couple of weeks later by Le Mans, in France.
The third round will run at Mugello, which will host the MotoE for the first time on 28-29 May. The other ‘new’ circuit is the KymiRing, in Finland, a track at which none of the world championships have yet raced. The remaining rounds will play out at historic Assen, and in Austria, before the grand finale takes place once again at the Misano World Circuit Marco Simoncelli.
The tests scheduled so far will take place at Jerez, on 7-9 March and 11-13 April.
