MotoGP will continue to race in Argentina. The agreement between Dorna and the Argentinian authorities has been confirmed in the last few days, which means that the Termas de Rio Hondo circuit will remain on the calendar until 2025.

Good news then, which comes after what has been a complicated period for the South American track, with no MotoGP racing for two seasons due to Covid-19 and a recent fire that destroyed part of the infrastructure.

"The three-year contract renewal for the Grand Prix of Argentina is fantastic news for MotoGP, showing once again the incredible level of interest in our sport across the territory”, explains Dorna boss Carmelo Ezpeleta. “The impressive crowds who flock to the event, and from many different countries, added to the great feedback from the riders, proves how vital our presence in Argentina and Latin America truly is."

MotoGP is an event that allows us to take our place on the world stage, show our strengths and be a point of reference in global elite sport".

The next Argetinian GP is planned for April 2022.
