According to the Spanish commentator, there is a good chance that the deal will be done, a move that would shake up the grid for next year and create a sort of domino effect.

Seeking fresh motivation

Maverick would thus become team-mate to Aleix Espargaró, starting from scratch after five seasons as a factory Yamaha rider, a period characterised by highs and lows. The RS-GP could serve to motivate "Top Gun", who would find a brand-new environment in which to work, in the hope of taking his career to new heights.
