While there is a still an air of mystery surrounding Marc Marquez’s eventual return to the track, the factory Honda rider has shared a photo that shows him underdoing a laser session, part of the rehabilitation plan to heal his right arm.

Beneath the hand of physiotherapist Carlo Garcia we can see a long scar on the eight-time champion’s arm, a reminder of the three surgical procedures he has undergone in a matter of months.

In the other images that Marquez has shared recently, he has always been wearing his arm brace, which doesn’t bode well for a rapid return to the track. The Spaniard has not yet begun any high-level training and only got back on his exercise bike on 20 January. It looks like a long road to recovery, but perhaps we will learn more on Monday 22 February, during the official Repsol Honda team presentation.
