After several months away due to a back injury, the team Provec rider is now back on her bike: “I’m back and I’m very happy”
She was keen to get back to the racetrack and after several surgeries and a great deal of rehabilitation, Ana Carrasco has finally got her wish. She has faced an uphill climb in recent months, following on from the injuries she sustained during private testing at Estoril in 2020, but thanks to her tenaciousness and grit, Ana can now look to her racing future once more.
Having regularly posted as to her progress in recent months, the team Provec rider now publishes a latest update on her Instagram profile: “Five months and two surgeries later, we're back!”, she writes, alongside a photo taken at the Alcarras circuit in which she wears team colours and a beaming smile. “Second day on the bike. Getting sensations and adapting my body to ride but very happy with how my recovery is going!”
It’s incredible to see the 2018 Supersport champion back on track so soon after what was a very serious accident. Ana fractured her D4 and D6 vertebrae in the incident but here’s hoping it’s all smooth sailing from here on in.
