Michael Ruben Rinaldi 6

Wasted potential might be the best way to sum up Rinaldi’s weekend. On Saturday he got over-excited and made a costly mistake, while on Sunday he threw away an almost certain podium. He needs to calm down.

Jonathan Rea 5

Not even in his worst nightmares had Johnny seen a weekend like that of Mandalika. The race 2 crash only highlights the crisis that the Rea-Kawasaki pairing are facing right now. They need to reassess their goals, and quickly.

Scott Redding 5

He collected a few points here and there but all that the Brit really takes away from the weekend is irritability. He wants to smash it on the racetrack, but for now all he’s trying to smash is his BMW with a fist.

Phillip Oettl 5

The German looked to be a poor imitation of the impressive rider we saw in Australia. He wasn’t to blame for the race 2 crash, but it was as if he was never truly switched on up until that point. Assen will be something of an acid test.

Alex Lowes 4

Even without his lacklustre performance in the long races, his Superpole Race was enough to secure him the lowest score of the weekend. First he hit Petrucci and destroyed his Kawasaki, and then he ran into a blameless Baz, breaking his leg in the process. Race direction rewarded him with a third place finish, which left us pretty speechless.
