A battle to be won. This is what 2023 is to Michael Ruben Rinaldi, the only one of the four factory Ducati SBK and MotoGP riders to not have won during 2022. Nevertheless, his consistency and dedication were enough to secure the factory ride. The Italian now has another chance to demonstrate his worth, and his path to glory officially resumes with the Ducati team presentation, which played out yesterday.

"It’s great to be here together with the MotoGP riders", admits Michael. "The Superbike level has grown year after year, so it’s not easy to shine. I need to improve my speed, with the aim of fighting for the title along with Alvaro and the others. It would be amazing if the team could fight for the championship with both riders.

Rinaldi: “I’m under positive pressure”

Rinaldi is clear as to his target, well aware that he has what he needs to battle against the best, starting with team-mate Alvaro Bautista, who will flaunt the number 1 plate on his Panigale V4R this season.

“Having a competitive bike and the world champion as a team-mate is a positive pressure. Riding this bike is a dream for many, and one I want to fully exploit and enjoy”.
