The Italian team and rider have come to an agreement that will see Yari ride the Panigale V2 955

As we anticipated a few days ago, it’s all change in the Barni camp. With regard to Supersport, the team will be able to count on Yari Montella. After a first positive season in the category with team Puccetti, which also brought a first win at Phillip Island, the young Italian will now climb aboard the Ducati Panigale V2 955 for the 2023 season.
Montella: “I’ll need to adapt fast”
"I’m very pleased with this decision”, comments Yari, “and I can’t wait to test the Panigale V2. It will be very different to the Kawasaki I rode last season of course and so the first goal will be to adapt fast and understand how to exploit the bike’s potential. I’m sure that, if we work methodically, we’ll be able to do well.”
Marco Barnabò is equally satisfied as he prepares to field an all-Italian line-up next season.
"It was always our intention to compete in World Supersport again next year and we’ve done our best to ensure we can be back on the grid in this very competitive championship. Yari is a young rider, but he’s already shown his potential and demonstrated that he really wants this. Now we just need to put our heads down and get to work".
