Anyone betting on Alessandro Delbianco is right to do so, because he’s still a young rider who continues to mature, both technically and race-wise, and who stood out in the Italian CIV in 2022. But the 25-year old Italian, a strong contender at national tracks, wants more. His aim? WorldSBK. "I’m currently negotiating my future. I’d like to be in the world championship as soon as possible".

Keope and "Delby": national commitment with an international look-in

The Keope Motor Team has shown to be a very strong Yamaha outfit, fielding the likes of Mattia Pasini, Niccolò Canepa, Randy Krummenacher and Simone Corsi. If these big names chose that particular M1, then they clearly had good reason and, in fact, the results speak for themselves, a number of podiums topped off with that important win at Mugello.

If Delbianco joins this national project, he’ll also have international opportunities. Alessandro’s goal, as we’ve said, is to race in a world championship he already knows, having competed with Althea Honda in 2019, in the 2021 Most round with MIE Moriwaki, and in the 2022 Misano event with Kawasaki Pedercini.

"Delby" is now ready to switch bikes for the third time in three years then, having ridden the Fireblade for team DMR in 2021 before moving to the Aprilia Nuova M2 Racing team in 2022. The Iwata four-cylinder could represent a very interesting opportunity for the Italian in 2023.
