It’s cold outside but the Supersport rider market is hotting up. Oliver Bayliss is preparing for his second second in in the production-derived 600 series and will continue to ride a Ducati, albeit for a different team. It looks as if Troy’s son might compete for the D34G Racing team which, as the name suggests, is managed by none other than Davide Giugliano.

Bayliss plus Ducati plus Giugliano: an explosive red bomb

If you know Davide, you’ll be well aware that his heart still beats for Ducati. Giugliano was a strong, competitive rider aboard the red bike, to which he gave his body, soul... and right wrist. The now manager of D34G continues to represent Borgo Panigale, with a team that fields the 955 twin.

And one of these red bikes may well be entrusted to Oliver. Troy’s son competed with Barni during the 2022 season, but the parties have now gone their separate ways. Davide’s team could be a great second chance for the Australian then, with a project that spans the full SBK calendar and promises guaranteed media visibility.
