After dominating in this year's British Superbike championship aboard the OMG Racing team’s Yamaha, Bradley Ray will now move full time to the world championship, competing for team MotoXRacing. The talented Englishman has long been a frontrunner in the national series, battling at the sharp end with Suzuki and BMW, before climbing aboard the Yamaha R1 and commanding one of the world’s most competitive championships.

2023 will mark Ray’s first full WorldSBK season but he has previously competed on the world stage, having raced as a wildcard at the 2018 Donington round with the Buildbase Suzuki team. Competing with the Italian team’s R1 comes as a great opportunity for the British rider, who could well follow in the path of former BSB greats such as Jonathan Rea, Tom Sykes, Scott Redding and Leon Haslam.

Ray: “I’ve dreamed of this moment for years”

“I have dreamed of becoming Superbike world champion ever since I started racing at three years old”, commented the talented rider. “This wouldn’t have been possible without the support of a manufacturer like Yamaha and without the team I’ve been part of. I’m excited to start racing in WorldSBK and hope to follow in the footsteps of the many British riders who’ve been successful in this championship. It’s time to aim for the next title, step by step”.
