Sensational: Hickman at the North West 200 without team FHO Racing!

At last year’s North West 200, the FHO Racing team caused a stir when it withdrew from the event, which was already in progress, due to a significant misunderstanding with the race organisers. As a result, the team headed up by Faye Ho did not compete in the racing with its riders Peter Hickman and Josh Brookes.

 

FHO Racing absent, but not Peter Hickman

One year later, and team FHO Racing won’t be at the Triangle Circuit for the 2024 edition of the races either, but it will contest the Tourist Trophy with Hickman and Brookes, who will also line up in British Superbike. That said, “Hicky” will take part in the North West 200, but in the colours of his own team, PHR Performance, even competing in the “big bike” class.

As well as competing in the Supersport and Supertwins categories, as he will at the TT (and the Daytona 200, in which he’ll race a Triumph), the world’s fastest road racer will also race a BMW M 1000 RR in Superstock, though wearing different colours to what we’re used to seeing in the class. Will he play a starring role in the race around the streets of Coleraine, Portrush and Portstewart even without team FHO Racing?
