The CIV championship continues to issue a stream of rider announcements. This time the news relates to the Supersport 300 class, with the continuation of a partnership that proved strong last season.
Coppola renews
We’re talking about Alfonso Coppola, who will wear VM Racing Team colours once again in 2023 and will set out to fight for a championship crown that was won this season by Leonardo Carnevali, ahead of Matteo Vannucci and Emanuele Vocino.
The Italian title is the goal
Following a complicated 2021, Coppola concluded the 2022 CIV season in fifth place overall with 113 points, a tally that was boosted when he finished third in race 1 at Mugello and first in race 1 at the Imola season finale. Coppola also competed as a wildcard in the Misano WorldSSP300 round, finishing the two races in fourth and tenth place respectively.
