It hasn’t been an easy week for the British Superbike championship, stil shaken by the serious incident involving Brad Jones that occurred during the first lap of Race 1 at Brands Hatch, the rider crashing at Clark Curve before being transported, unconscious, to hospital via helicopter.

The PR Racing BMW rider remains in an induced coma at London’s King's College Hospital. Doctors have decided not to operate on his head or chest, but the rider will undergo surgery to stabilise his pelvic area. Jones will be kept in a coma until the beginning of next week.

BSB on track with Brad at Thruxton

In the meantime, this weekend will see the British Superbikes take on round four at Thruxton, the young British talent’s home track no less. The entire paddock will have stickers made available by the team, so that they can have Brad on track with them during the weekend’s three races.
