Moto3, Jason Dupasquier’s brother: "I’m retiring from racing"

Bryan has decided to hang up his helmet, a decision that comes just weeks after the death of brother Jason

"Hi everyone, I want to inform you all of my decision. I’ve decided to leave the world of motorcycling following my brother’s accident and for other reasons. I ask that no further comments are made following my decision. Thank-you”. With this message, Bryan Dupasquier, brother to Jason, has announced his retirement from racing.

The two brothers were very close

Born in 2005, Bryan had taken part in some of the 2021 Northern Talent Cup rounds, prior to the Mugello Moto3 incident that took his older brother’s life. In the aftermath of the tragedy, Florian Pruestl, the owner of the team for which the deceased Swiss rider competed, voiced initial doubts about the career of the younger Dupasquier brother. "Bryan hurt himself at Le Mans and we don’t know what decision his family will make with regard to his career. Father Philippe was a Swiss MX champion. They have racing in their blood. Bryan was following in Jason’s footsteps but we don’t know if he’ll continue on alone".

Clearly, the loss of his brother has proved too much for Bryan, who just days after the accident intervened to ask for the removal of videos showing Jason’s crash from the internet.
