A fantastic year for Italian motorcycling saw the bel paese secure both the MotoGP world title with Pecco (following Stoner’s win in 2007 and fifty years after Agostini’s win aboard an Italian machine), and the Superbike title with Alvaro Bautista aboard the Aruba.it Panigale. And to celebrate all this, Ducati decided to organize a day of celebrations in the region's capital, Bologna. During this “Campioni in Piazza” event, the manufacturer unveiled various initiatives, one of which is particularly intriguing.

A MotoGP for everyone

Pecco and Alvaro were of course centre stage during the press conference that preceded the celebrations. Joining the two riders on stage was the engineer who made all this possible, or rather Gigi Dall’Igna, together with CEO Claudio Domenicali. The big news is that Ducati will produce 520 Panigale V4S bikes complete with dedicated livery and the riders’ autographs, with 260 dedicated to Pecco’s MotoGP bike and the same number for Bautista’s SBK machine. Each lucky customer will take home a unique product to commemorate the Italian manufacturer’s victory in the two categories.
