MotoGP Misano test: Marc Marquez gets his hands on the 2023 Honda

The laboratory bike, complete with new Kalex swingarm, has appeared in the Spaniard’s garage

The second day of testing is underway at Misano and there is no shortage of things to talk about. The first regards Marc Marquez, who is working hard to achieve his double objective, as he puts his physical condition to the test and works on his Honda with a view to 2023.

Important test

Having tested a new fairing yesterday, which should lead to aerodynamics-related improvement and that may already be used this year, today Marc has dived straight into 2023. The Spaniard’s garage now contains Stefan Bradl’s laboratory bike, now adorned with the number 93 obviously.

We’re talking about the bike that will be close to the 2023 version and that mounts the Kalex swingarm, something of a minor revolution for Honda in that the manufacturer has rarely asked an external provider to produce parts for its prototypes in the past. The idea appears to be a good one though, as initial feedback from Bradl and Takaaki Nakagami looks to be positive. And now we wait to see what captain Marquez has to say about it.
