The Italian has been penalised for his conduct in FP1 and now he’ll need an impeccable qualifying session
The Misano weekend has not got off to the best start for Pecco Bagnaia. The Stewards Panel has come down hard on the Italian, accused of having hindered Alex Marquez at the end of FP1 by continuing on his trajectory but at low speed.
Pecco has in fact been penalised three grid positions for Sunday’s race. A decision that makes things a lot tougher for the Ducati rider, who will now need to complete a perfect qualifying session tomorrow.
In any case, Bagnaia can count on the speed he and his Ducati have already shown today, which should make the penalty slightly less incapacitating.
