Finally back on board: Acosta ready for Moto2 at Silverstone

Pedro missed the Dutch GP due to injury, but he’ll be back in the UK, the category’s biggest talent back in the saddle of the team Ajo KTM

Injury forced him to miss the Moto2 round at Assen. It was a pity not to see him in The Netherlands but cancellation of the Finnish round and a month’s break have allowed Pedro Acosta to recover fully in time for the upcoming weekend, when all eyes will be on him at Silverstone.

Harsh with him at first, and then more measured. Whatever happens, Acosta gets people talking, mainly about his enormous talent. The Spaniard could have moved straight to MotoGP, but instead he’ll remain in the intermediate class, with its Triumph engines, for another year.

The British three-cylinder is paired with a Kalex frame for a bike that is 'packaged' by team KTM Ajo. The best in the category, strengthened by its win with Remy Gardner, who moved up to the reigning class together with Raul Fernandez. The Tech3 duo came directly from Acosta’s squad, which is now in the mix for the title again with Augusto Fernandez.
