Our prediction regarding Dennis Foggia and a possible move to Moto2 with Italtrans is looking increasingly likely as the days go by, the rumour being repeated by various sources. Great, because the news that the Italian rider – currently competing in Honda Leopard colours in Moto3 – will move up a class in 2023 is sure to get the fans dreaming, and one in particular, or rather Fabio Foggia, the number 7 rider’s father.

Ever present alongside his son, Fabio Foggia is a father who pays to attention to every detail of Dennis’ career: “I’m pleased to say that, following excellent results in Moto3, he’s received various offers to race in the intermediate class. And I’m not just talking about Italtrans, with which there is mutual interest. Many teams have approached him”.

So the number 7 rider is hot property: “Yes, because I think his talent will explode in Moto2, whether for the characteristics the category requires or his riding ability. I think we’ll see a Dennis who can entertain us, in a class that can suit his style".

Holidays? Not really, because being a professional racer means continuous exercise, whether that be in or out of the saddle. For Dennis, the track is always beckoning: "He also trains with a Yamaha R1”, reveals Fabio, “and he enjoys it. During the break, my son will be working as hard as ever”.

When will we know if the deal is done? We need to wait but not for long: “I can’t say more for now”, continues Dennis’ dad, “only that the negotiations are at a good point. I think my son’s future will be confirmed before Silverstone. This is the goal, just as he intends to do very well in the seasons to come”.
