MotoGP, Ducati options: Martin with Bagnaia, Bastianini to Pramac

Jorge is the favourite for the factory Lenovo ride, Enea would have the satellite Desmosedici with factory treatment. Arbolino targets team Gresini, Vietti Ramus set to jump categories

The MotoGP market is heating up. The hotly contended factory Ducati Lenovo ride is in the sights of various riders, but one candidate stands out right now and that’s Jorge Martin, the current Pramac rider, part of the satellite team of reference.

The Spaniard has made it clear that he wants to become part of the official Borgo Panigale squad, leaving his seat for another. But for who? There’s talk of Enea Bastianini, currently with the independent Gresini team aboard the Ducati. Bestia has a GP21, but next year he’d receive factory treatment, flanking Frenchman Johann Zarco

Both the Spaniard and the Italian are keen to secure a place on the top Ducati team but, while Bestia has won two races in 2022 and the Martinator not even one, it appears that the latter is the most likely candidate for now. And this is why his face is slightly higher than that of his rival in our main image.

Rumors: Arbolino to MotoGP with Gresini and Diggia, but look out for Celestino

If this all goes ahead, the teams would be as follows: Pecco Bagnaia and Jorge Martin on the Lenovo Factory, Johann Zarco and Enea Bastianini at Pramac, Fabio Di Giannantonio and a future team-mate for Gresini. But who would join the Italian?

A fellow Italian, or rather Tony Arbolino, a strong Moto2 rider who won at Austin. The main Marc VDS man is seeking a step up in category, but he’ll have to fend off the ‘attacks’ of Celestino Vietti Ramus, who is also under consideration, especially if he scores this year’s middle class title.
