Development of the first Ducati-branded electric bike, the “V21L” prototype, continues. The bike that will compete in the MotoE World Cup as of next season has been tested at the Vallelunga circuit by Alex De Angelis, the San Marino rider having gained a wealth of experience in various world championships, MotoE included.

De Angelis the latest member of the test team

Alex becomes an official member of the Borgo Panigale manufacturer’s test team then, joining Michele Pirro, who was the first rider to take the electric Ducati out on track at Misano in December. The San Marino rider will be able to provide important feedback, having participated in the 2019 and 2020 electric championship with the Pramac team.

“Ever since we took the Ducati MotoE prototype to the track for the first time, development work on the project has never stopped, not even for a moment”, comments Roberto Canè, Ducati eMobility Director. “The hard work of the whole team is paying off for the efforts made through continuous progress, which is giving us great satisfaction. In just four months, our prototype has already tackled the curves of some of the main Italian circuits, providing positive responses. There is still a lot of work to do, but the direction is certainly the right one”.
