Marc Marquez is experiencing another very difficult moment in his career. The Spaniard is at home, suffering with diplopia, while his MotoGP colleagues are at the Termas de Rio Hondo circuit, waiting for the third race of the season to get underway. Riders who include brother Alex of course, a rider with the LCR team, who tells us how the last few days have been for Marc.

Jokes about the delayed Argentinian round

As reported by Spanish website As.com, which cites DAZN, Marc’s younger brother has commented: On the first day it was only normal for him to be down, I’d never seen him like that, but luckily he’s improving now. He is feeling good”. Alex Marquez is in Argentina waiting for round three to get underway and reveals: “This morning, when I saw the new schedule, I even joked with him, saying: ‘you have an extra day to get fit and come join us’. I only said it as a joke, to try to raise his spirits. He said: ‘Not yet’. He’s seen some improvement and this is very positive in terms of his recovery. I hope to see him back on track soon”.

Alex Marquez’s analysis of Marc’s style

Honda will have to carry on without Marc, at least until the diplopia situation is resolved. Alex adds: I’m closer to it all because he’s my brother and I experience the bad times with him, but he’s Marc and we’ve always seen him come out of extreme situations". This is one of the toughest moments, but Alex is sure that Marc will remain true to his philosophy: "This is the most extreme because there are many obstacles along the path, but I don’t think it will change his style".
