MotoAmerica, The Ridge: what a fright for Maxwell Toth!

The MotoAmerica weekend at the The Ridge Motorsport Park could have ended in the worst possible way. During a weekend in which Jake Gagne dominated in the Superbike class, the second race for the Supersport 300 class (known as the Junior Cup) brought an incident as spectacular as it was dangerous, involving young rider Maxwell Toth.

The former CIV Moto3 rider was battling for the win when he ran off track, his wheels on the grass causing him to lose control of his Kawasaki Ninja 400. Finding himself in the middle of the track as Cody Wyman passed by, the latter couldn’t avoid making contact with the San Francisco rider’s legs.

A big scare and a lot of luck

Fortunately, the contact between Wyman’s Kawasaki and the number 58 rider’s legs didn’t result in any serious injury for the latter, who was able to get up and walk away, although visibly shaken by the incident. A positive outcome for Toth then, following his race 1 win on Saturday. The rider hopes to be back in top shape for the next round at Laguna Seca.
