It was nice to see old ‘class mates’ helping each other out this afternoon at Losail. Former Moto2 riders Alex Marquez and Iker Lecuona attracted attention when the Tech3 KTM rider offered the LRC Honda rider a lift.
“Where can I take you?”
During today’s testing in Qatar, Alex Marquez suffered a crash at turn 9. The newly hired LCR Honda rider was thrown from his RC213V, the red flag almost brought out as a result. Alex remained on his feet and, seeing as Lecuona was passing by, he offered him a ride back to the garage. MotoGP.com then published a social media post with some shots of the pair on the KTM, with the caption: “Where can I take you Sir? The Iker Lecuona taxi service is running after Alex Marquez’s highside”.
It appears that Alex has fractured the fourth metacarpal of his left foot in the incident.
